In this episode of “Unraveled with Marvi Sirmed,” the host interviewed Sushant Sareen, an Indian political commentator, senior fellow at the Observer Research Foundation, and strategic affairs expert, regarding the future of Narendra Modi's BJP alliance with JD(U) and TDP, the current status of the Hindutva narrative in India’s political landscape, and the government’s biased attitude when it comes to development schemes or opportunities for the Muslim and Dalit communities. While responding to a question, Sareen said, “People say that this is a very shaky coalition, but please remember that this is a pre-coalition; these are people who went into the election together. There will be the pulls and pressures of coalition politics, which is a normal thing. It's natural that politicians will have their own demands, their own requirements, and their own constituencies where they will want to satisfy and extract their own pound of flesh. This is part of politics, and there is nothing unusual in that,” he added.

While rebuffing the ground realities in India with regards to societal and institutional bias towards Muslim minorities and Dalits, Sareen insisted that Modi’s development schemes are inclusive. Sareen claimed that minorities do not complain about discrimination in employment opportunities or getting benefits from Modi's development schemes. However, he concluded that the Hindutva platform is very much "alive and kicking", and the Lok Sabha election results confirmed it.
