Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak was hospitalized in Mexico City on Wednesday, according to a source from the organizers of the World Business Forum (WBF), which he attended in the country's capital.

According to the source, Wozniak, 73, was brought to the hospital around 3 p.m. local time after fainting minutes before the event.

CNN is seeking to learn more about his current health situation.

Wozniak was the technological brain behind the first Apple computers, and he collaborated with Steve Jobs to create and build the firm.

Wozniak, or "Woz" in Silicon Valley circles, is best known for designing the Apple I and Apple II computers, which revolutionized personal computing and established Apple as a market leader.

Wozniak was the systems' technical engineer, while Jobs was the visionary and marketing specialist. In 1976, the two co-founded Apple, which is now the world's most valuable firm, in Jobs' California garage.
